Ali Howard is the Senior Coordinator of Volunteer Services for Joni and Friends and primary editor for the Irresistible blog. She is a Baylor University graduate who has worked with volunteers in the non-profit world since 2011. Ali is honored to serve the Lord and serve an amazing team of volunteers through her current role. Ali occasionally writes on all things volunteer and ministry for our blog as well.
Becky Bernier has been with Joni and Friends since 2013. She serves as the Senior Program Coordinator for the Charlotte Joni and Friends Area Ministry. Becky has a brother with cerebral palsy and developmental delays. Her heart is to minister to families impacted by disabilities – especially typical siblings.
Danielle Ledoux is a former intern with Joni and Friends’ Cause 4 Life program who enjoys writing about God’s work in people’s lives. She is a graduate of Pensacola Christian College and is currently getting her Master of Fine Arts in Dramatics.
Gina Spivey is the Director of Special Needs Ministries at Calvary Community Church in Westlake, CA. She came to this role after over a decade in the clinical field working with children with a variety of developmental disabilities.
Karen Roberts is the Academic Studies and Church Relations Manager for Joni and Friends Chicago. She is also a certified instructor of Beyond Suffering and leads the Ethiopia Outreach team each year. She has a passion to equip churches as they begin and develop disability ministries, especially in the areas of inclusive worship and community outreach.
Kate Brueck is the former Church Relations Manager for Joni and Friends Charlotte. She has enjoyed working with students of all backgrounds and abilities as a middle school music teacher, a missionary in a Kenyan orphanage and as a pastor’s wife. She and her husband live in Charlotte, NC, and are enjoying the recent arrival of their first child.
Marc Stein currently serves as Vice President of Field Services for the Joni and Friends International Disability Center in Agoura Hills, CA. His oversight responsibilities include church relations, volunteers and other kinetic ministry programs. He is cofounder and chief architect for the Irresistible Church, as well as occasional writer about innovation and leadership.
Mike Dobes has been in pastoral ministry since 1997 and is currently the Manager of Church Relations for Joni and Friends, along with cofounder and content manager for the Irresistible Church blog. Mike writes monthly leadership posts at Irresistible Church and also blogs about life and leadership at www.stepsofaleader.org. He lives with his wife, Jennifer, and their five incredible children near the beach in Camarillo, CA.
Pam Harmon is the Vice President of Young Life’s Capernaum Ministry. Capernaum is made up of caring people who strive to provide teens with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities abundant life to the full (John. 10:10); a life that includes love, support, excitement, challenge and the opportunity to hear about the God who created each of us and loves us all just as we are.
Ryan Wolfe is the Disability Ministry Pastor at First Christian Church in Canton, OH. Proverbs 31:8a “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves…” has become Ryan’s calling.
